Who We Are
Blake’s House of Independence (BHI) was formed in 2013 to help people with special needs maintain employment and live independently. This 501(c) 3 organization provides innovative programs and services to encourage and assist people with special needs. BHI utilizes comprehensive strategies that guide adults with special needs towards life-long independence, purpose, and a real sense of contribution towards society. Jamita Martin is the CEO and Founder of BHI. Her son is severely and developmentally delayed under the Autism Spectrum. As her passion grew to advocate for her son, she created an environment where he and others with similar conditions gain specialized training to gain employment and live independently.
